If you want to get to know multiple areas of a company during the first year of your career, then Atlantic’s Graduate Trainee Programme (AGT) is just what you’re looking for. AGT is a 12-month trainee programme for university graduates. As a trainee you will acquire a comprehensive overview and deep insight into the structures and processes of our company.
Joining Atlantic as a Graduate Trainee will boost your career and give you access to an ocean of opportunities in any of our locations. Choose between our Graduate Trainee Programmes in any of the following areas of business: Sales, Marketing, Production, Research & Development, Purchasing, Human Resources, Logistics, or Finance. Our portfolio is designed to match your professional ambitions with our inclusive and respectful leadership culture.
The starting dates for the Graduate Trainee Programme are always in October of each year and in the following cycle we will be hiring Graduate Trainees in the market of Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Macedonia.
Once you have completed the programme you will have an excellent network within the company, which you can put to use in your later work. Over the course of 12 months you will work across our business and receive extensive insight into the company, our culture, and values. You will be rotating and working both cross-functionally and internationally. From the moment you are hired as a full-fledged colleague, an individual development plan will be tailored to suit your unique talents and ambitions. Accordingly, the individual programme modules will be selected in order to match your specific qualifications as well as the requirements of your target department.
During your traineeship you will work independently on several projects in various business areas. To guide you in your professional explorations, you will have a mentor from management as well as the trainee support team by your side throughout the entire 12-month journey. The mentor is usually a senior member of staff from the same function as you.
Traineeship implies acquiring business scope vital for your future development. Depending on your chosen career, you will have the opportunity to spend time in pertinent business areas, like Production, R&D, Quality Control, Logistics & Field Sales, Brand Operations Management, Finance, IT and various Corporate Support functions where you will have direct contact with our products and customers. During this journey you’ll meet people who will make you see things from a different perspective, broadening your horizons. The programme is encompassed with seminars, workshops, training, and various working groups as well as networking events with top management, making you a skilled sailor for Atlantic’s business waters.
Truly great leaders and managers are experts in asking tough, critical questions and bringing teams together to create more questions in order to find solutions. Quality of judgment and decision making depend on asking the right type of question. These days, expertise is rapidly losing its value as knowledge becomes obsolete within a matter of months or a few years. Curiosity challenges expertise at very deep levels and brings to the surface knowledge gaps that are essential to finding areas of opportunities or problems to solve.
The technological, informational, and knowledge revolution that we are experiencing has made our landscape filled with all possible data and information – answers are readily available everywhere you go. Only a sharp and curious mind can detect the problems to solve or the opportunities to explore amid all the information. The only way to do that is by asking questions that nobody has asked before, or in a different way, so that they drive different results than those that have already been produced. There can’t be any complex problem solving without knowing the problems to solve. And creativity is therefore nothing more than an expression of our curiosity.
By now you have probably had your first experience of applying for college, a summer job, an internship or a scholarship and have become acquainted with the classical selection interview setup. Sitting in the hot chair, answering a number of questions from a panel of slightly terrifying judges deciding on your destiny, all the while trying to strike a good balance between being authentic and fitting your honest answers to what you consider to be – the right answers.
Aiming to recruit the brightest, bravest, and most curious graduate trainees in the Adriatic region we have decided to introduce a plot twist to this classical selection interview thriller story by switching the focus from memorising the ‘right’ answer to – uncovering the right question.
We will give graduate applicants the opportunity to participate in the selection process with one of the key and final tasks being the task of asking one question where you would like to receive an answer from an Atlantic Grupa employee working at any of the existing levels of our organization –from the production lines and field sales force to the Board, from HR to R&D – the choice is yours!
By getting the most curious graduates on board we hope to increase the number of employees willing to ask questions about why the company does what it does in the way it does it, while unveiling its opportunities for growth.
The greatest innovators of all time started with a question, innovated, and continued improving with more questions. The right question is what unveils what needs to be done.
Albert Einstein once famously said – “I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.”
