Atlantic Grupa completes acquisition of Osem

Atlantic Droga Kolinska has completed the acquisition of Osem d.o.o., making the company, its production facility, brands and employees a part of Atlantic Grupa.
This further strengthens the business operations of Atlantic Droga Kolinska in Slovenia, which remains one of Atlantic Grupa’s key production, distribution and investment markets as well as an important part of its long-term development strategy. In Slovenia, the operations of Atlantic Droga Kolinska already include a soft drinks bottling plant in Rogaška Slatina, coffee and savoury spreads production facilities in Izola, and major distribution and logistics centres in Ljubljana.
In Murska Sobota, where Osem d.o.o.’s production facility is located, Atlantic Grupa plans to undertake further investments to support the development of production, increase capacities and create new jobs. This site has significant potential, and the development plan envisages it becoming, alongside Izola and Hadžići in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the third production site for savoury spreads, with production intended for export to Western European markets. The total value of the acquisition and planned investments exceeds EUR 40 million.
The brand Kekec, as the flagship brand of the acquired product range, will complement Atlantic Grupa’s portfolio of recognisable brands, and the company intends to maintain the existing partnerships of Osem d.o.o. and continue the production of private-label products.
